This tour combines some of the lesser known countries in the Balkans; Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro, by trying to show the best each of these countries offers. Albania offers a mixture of cultural elements with 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a rich archaeological legacy. Macedonia offers some of the most excellent religious relics, with Ohrid having the biggest Icon museum in the region as well as many beautiful churches. This theme is carried over into Kosovo, the newest state in Europe, where we combine religious monuments with tasting of wine and local foods. The Tour will end up in Montenegro which has made a name for itself based on its wild natural beauty.

Day 1
Transfer to Tirana and visit the National Museum of History. Afterwards take a driven tour of the major sites of Tirana, including the colourful buildings.

Day 2
:
The archaeological site of Apollonia. After the visits continue on to Vlora where we stay overnight.

Day 3

Depart to Saranda through the spectacular Albanian Riviera.Llogara National Park. Continue to the ancient city of Butrint, another UNESCO World Heritage site, considered the best archaeological site in Albania and one of the most important in the Balkans.

Day 4
:
Depart for Gjirokastra, a UNESCO site. Afterwards, in Gjirokastra we visit the fortress part, Arms Museum and Ethnographic Museum.

Day 5

Depart for Berat, one of the most visited and characteristic towns in Albania under the protection of UNESCO for its architectural uniqueness.

Day 6
Depart for to the city of Ohrid. We stop at Elbasan for a visit at the castle. Afterwards proceed to Struga famous for its wall of water where the Black Drin River flows out of Lake Ohrid on its way to the Adriatic.

Day 7

We visit St. Sofia Church, a classic Orthodox Byzantine church, dominating the Old Town, demonstrates the link between Byzantine and Italian Renaissance art. Other visits include: Saint Painteleimon Church, The Holy Virgin of Peribleptos Church, Icon Gallery, and old Bazaar.

Day 8

Drive to Stobi, archaeological site in Macedonia. Afterwards depart for Skopje. Visit the old Turkish bazaar, Mahmut Pasha Hammam, the memorial house of Mother Teresa, stone bridge and the Macedonia Plaza.

Day 9
Visiting wonderful Gadima Cave. Next visit the 1389 Kosovo Battlefield and Sultan Murat’s grave. Visit Gracanica. Visit Ulpiana.

Day 10

Visit Prizren, a true open air museum, one of the most beautiful towns of Kosovo. Rahoveci renowned wines; afterwards head towards Peja.

Day 11
Drive to North West Kosovo and Montenegro takes us to Kolašin which is Montenegro's most famous ski resort, and its capital Podgorica. 

Day 12

Visit The Old City of Kotor. Cetinje is a town of immense historical heritage, founded in the 15th century. 

Day 13

On the way stop for a photo at Sveti Stefan. Afterwards proceed to Shkodra centre of Roman Catholicism in Albania. Overnight in Tirana.

Day 1. Transfer Airport – Hotel Tirana
The group is met at the airport by our Guide and Driver and transfer to the hotel in Tirana. After a short time in the hotel we take a city walk to visit the center of Tirana and Et’hem Bey Mosque.

Day 2. Tirana-Marikaj-Kruja – Rubik
Today we start the day by visiting the History Museum in Tirana. After the visit we head to the agritourist center of Marikaj where a nice lunch arrangements waits for us. Next we travel to the city of Kruja where we can visit the Castle and Scanderbeg Museum. In the end of our visits we transfer to Rubik where will be accommodated.

Day 3. Rubik – Prizren – Gjakova – Valbona
We travel today through the Nation’s Highway toward Prizren, Kosovo. In Prizren we will visit Sinan Pasha mosque, hammam, old city center. Next we drive to Gjakova where we visit the Old Bazaar and have lunch as well. After lunch we head toward Valbona valley in Albania.

Day 4. Valbona – Kukaj – Valbona
Today we will walk for about 1 hour to Kukaj village where we will learn more about the life of the local shepherds. We will meet with Tahir, a local, who lives in Kukaj. During tonight’s dinner we have invited a folk group to perform for us. They live in a nearby village and are self taught to play the local instruments and dance.

Day 5. Valbona – Fierzë – Koman – Shkodër
We travel by our minibus until Fierza to catch the boat that sails for about 2 hours through Koman Lake. In Koman lake have been built 3 of the most important hydro power plants in Albania with an installed power of 600 MW. After lunch we drive towards Shkodër where before entering the city we can visit Rozafa castle, which dates back to 4th century BC.

Day 6. Shkodër – Durrës – Berat
Today we head to Durrës the 2nd biggest city in Albania, which dates back to 7th century BC to visit the Roman Amphitheatre. Next we resume driving to Berat to visit the UNESCO city. First we will visit the castle, which dates back to 5th century BC and after that we will take a walk through Mangalem quarter which gave a distinctive look to the city’s architecture.

Day 7. Berat – Elbasan – Ibë (village near Tirana)
Our journey will take us to Elbasan where we will visit the Castle, which dates back from 15th century and Saint Mary church in the castle. After lunch we drive to Kame resort in the near Tirana where will be accommodated.

Day 8. Ibë (village) – Tirana – Mother Teresa Airport
Today before our flight departure we can take a walk around the village or just relax in the resort before heading up to the airport. End of the Program.

During your journey you will have the opportunity to discover totally unknown lands preserving their natural beauty, the ancient culture and traditions of their inhabitants. Day 1: ShkodraPick up at the airport and drive to Shkodra. Short city tour, dinner and accommodation in hotel.

Day 2: Cemi valley
Drive along the Cem valley following the winding road, up to Selca. Hike up to Sllapi waterfall and after the lunch, drive to Lëpushë. Accommodation in guesthouse. (Wt 3 h, Ascent/Descent 450 m).

Day 3: Trojani peak
Hike to Trojani Pass and from there on a steeper path up to the peak. The descent trail runs southwards, up to the guesthouse. (Wt 6 hours, A/D 1000 m)

Day 4: Ropojana Valley
Drive to Vermosh and from there to the village Vusanje, where the hike starts. We follow the Ropojana Valley in the direction of Buni i Jezercës where lie six glacial lakes. Accommodation in tents (Wt 8 hours, A/D 900/100 m)

Day 5: Arapi mountain and Theth
Hike in the southwestern direction to Jezerca Pass - the field of Runica, up to the Peçakeqi glacial lake. Near Peja Pass, we turn sharply right and hike on a steeper trail up to the peak of Arapi. Ascent to Peja Pass, and from there to Thethi. Accommodation in a guesthouse. (Wt 9 hours, A/D 500/1360 m)

Day 6: Theth
Visit of the village and walk to the 30 meters high Grunas canyon. Then walk along the river up to the "Blue Eye of Kapre", a natural pool with amazingly blue water. On the way back, we will visit the mill. (Wt 6 hours, A/D 480 m)

Day 7: Valbona Pass
Ascent up to Valbona Pass at1812m and from there descent towards Valbonë. Accommodation in guest house. (Wt 6 hours, A/D 1070/800 m)

Day 8: Hike to the meadow of "Bregu i Rrethit"
In the afternoon opportunity to participate in the traditional manufacturing of cheese, the preparation of the local food, etc. (Walking time 4 hours, A/D 620 m)

Day 9: Hike to Dobërdol
Transfer to Çerem and from there, hike up to the Gashi Valley. Then we follow the ascending path up to the Dobërdol plateau with its glacial lakes. Overnight stay in tents. (Wt 7 hours, A/D 1025/440 m)

Day 10: Gjeravica
Hike through the meadows of Dobërdol and then on the ridge up to the Gjeravica Mountain. Descend to the village where the vehicles will be waiting to drive us to Gjakova. (Wt 9 hours, A/D 1100/1230 m)

Day 11: Decani Monastery and Prizren
Drive to Deçani and visit of the monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage. From there drive to Prizren and visit of the city. Afterwards, have lunch in a traditional restaurant, and return to Tirana.

Day 12: Tirana
Visit of the “Mosaic of Tirana”, Et’hem Bey Mosque, Skanderbeg monument and National Historical Museum. A la carte dinner at a traditional restaurant.

Thethi valley’s where fantastic landscapes are beyond imagination. Called by foreign tourists “Europe’s last paradise".

The village is located in the north of the Valley of Shal, between the Alps with a rare beauty. Natural resources of the area are linked together with cultural and historical heritage of local residents, thus forming, the most important bases for tourism development.
Consisting in pursuing paths which reach the mountain peaks, hiking is an activity practiced in the Albanian Alps and high mountains. 

We are always accommodated in hotels or guesthouses during this activity where breakfast and dinner are served, meanwhile lunch is taken away, certainly something practical.

Day 1 - The guides will be waiting you in Shkodra city, the most important city in North Albania. After a short introduction with all the group, you will discuss for all the itinerary details.
In Shkodra to be visit: the Cathedral of Shkodra, the mosque, called New Mosque, Ebu Bekr, the “Pedonale” boulevard, one of the most famous boulevards of the city.
Day 2- Shkoder – Thethi Valley
We will pass through the valley of Boga and we will start hiking from the Sheep path 1670 m to 1822 m altitude, and then to go down to Thethi valley 900 m altitude. Accomodation in guesthouse in Theth.

Distance: 10 km. Duration: 5 hours. Difficulty level: T3.
Day 3 - Thethi Valley, Old Mill, Thethi Church, which is also one of the symbols of this village, Lock-in Tower & Waterfall of Grunas.

Lock-in Tower is typical of this area. A fort built on the foot of the village and used by the whole village. A fortress built at the end of the village and used by the whole village. It was home to those families who were forced to close because of blood feuds there (all men over age 14). Today the tower is the most visited and is located in an area with great tourist value.

Starting from Okol 900 m to 730 m altitude. The highest point that we will hike this day is 1000 m. Distance: 13 km, round trip. Duration: 6 hours. Difficulty level: T1+.
Day 4 - Hiking Peja Pass.
Starting early in the morning from Thethi 900 m to Peja Pass 1900 m altitude. This is one of the most beautiful trails in the Albanian Alps. Fantastic landscapes will appear along this itinerary and at top of the pass will be shown in front of us the view of Thethi valley.

Accomodation in Theth, in guesthouse, where we will enjoy local traditional food.

Distance: 11 km, round trip. Duration: 7 - 8 hours. Difficulty level: T2+.
Day 5 - Visit, Blue Eye.
Blue Eye is one of the rare beauties of Albania nature. We will start hiking from Okol 900 m to go down to 500 m and then to the Blue Eye 630 m altitude. Afternoon we will come back to the guest house at 900 m altitude. Along the itinerary, we will pass throught Grunas Canyon, one of the pearls of Albanian canyons.
Distance: 24 km, round trip. Duration: 8 - 9 hours. Difficulty level: T3
Day 6 - Valbona Pass.

It will start from Thethi about 900 m to Valbona Pass 1812 m altitude, and at this point will have a wonderful view of both valleys, Valbona & Thethi valley.

Distance: 14 km, round trip. Duration: 6-7 hours hours. Difficulty level: T3.

Day 7 -Departure from Thethi Valley to Shkoder.

Since ancient times, the Albanian Coast has seen different cultural influences come and go, leaving behind a host of archaeological and historical treasures, such as ancient sites, Roman or Greek cities, hillside castles and fortresses, walled towns, monasteries, churches, mosques, temples and other interesting jewels.

Day 1: Transfer to Tirana and guided tour of the city along with the visit of the National Historical Museum, Et’hem Bey Mosque, Skanderbeg monument, clock tower. Cable car ride to Dajti National Park, where dinner is planned.

Day 2: Durrës and Vlora. Drive to Durrës and guided visit of the city and its Roman amphitheater. After lunch in a restaurant by the sea, drive to Vlorë, where is planed the visit of the old St. Mary’s monastery in Zvërneci island. Dinner and accommodation in Radhima near Vlora.

Day 3: Llogara National Park, Dhërmi and Livadhi Beach. Drive to the National Park of Llogara where a coffee break is planned. On the way to Livadhi Beach, sightseeing tour of the village of Dhërmi. During the day you have the possibility to perform one of the optional activities:
1. Guided walk through the National Park of Llogara (3 hours).
2. Paragliding from the Pass of Llogara to the beach of Palasa (weather permitting).

Day 4: Enjoy sun and relaxation at Livadhi Beach. In the afternoon visit of the old village of Himara and the ruins of the old castle (century IV B.C. until century XVI).

Day 5: Boat trip to Jali and Ngjipe Beach. The first stop of the trip is at the bay, which is called "Aquarium," and then a short coffee break is planned in Jali Beach. Then travel to the canyon and the beach of Ngjipe. It is formed by water erosion and is more than 2km long and 100m deep. Return to Livadhi in the afternoon.

Day 6: Saranda and Ali Pasha Castle. The ancient Butrinti. Drive to Porto Palermo Bay, which was one of the most important military bases during the cold war. Here lies the Castle of Ali Pasha Tepelena, which we will visit. Drive to Ksamil near Saranda and enjoy free time for sun-and sea bathing. In the late afternoon drive to Butrint and visit the ancient UNESCO World Heritage Site, well known since the 7th century B.C. as the most important city of Epirus. Have dinner at the restaurant which lies at "Lëkursi Caste" on the top of a hill overlooking the bay of Saranda.

Day 7: Vlora and boat trip around Karaburun Peninsula. On the way to Tirana, after a short coffee pause in Llogara National Park, and lunch in Radhima near Vlora, embark on a boat trip around Karaburun Peninsula. We will stop at the north end of the peninsula, where the cave of Haji Ali, which is 30 meters long, 10-15 meters high and 9.5 meters wide, lies. After dinner in Tirana, you can spend some pleasant moments in one of the bars of the “Block” area, the most vivid quarter of the city.

Day 1: After your arrival at Tirana airport we start our journey toward the city of Kruja with its beautiful medieval castle. Kruja was the stronghold of Scanderbeg, Albania’s National Hero, who fought against the Ottoman invasion during the 15thcentury. Walking tour of Tirana, Albania’s Capital. Overnight in Tirana.

Day 2: At 08:00 we continue our tour Tirana to Ohrid Lake. On our way to Pogradec we do a short city tour of Elbasan within castle. We take a city tour of Pogradec, Drilon (a beautiful natural park by Ohrid lake) home to many sources of cold drinkable waters coming from beneath the Mountain “Mali i Thatë”. We travel to Tushemisht Village, famous for its rich traditional cuisine and the unique way of cooking the Koran (an autochthone fish found only in Ohrid Lake). Overnight in Tushemisht.

Day 3 : After breakfast by the Lake Ohrid, our tour continues towards Berat. City tour of Berat, an historic town also known as the city of the 1001 windows. Berat is an Albanian museum city also part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Overnight in a Traditional Berati House in Mangalemi Neighborhood.

Day 4 : Our tour of South Albania continues to Apollonia (about 2000 years old civilization) with its beautiful Facade, the Odeon Theater, the Church of Saint Mary, the nymphaeum   (monumental fountains) the ancient statues of Illyrian times and mosaics. Our tour continues to Vlora, a beautiful Albanian city by the sea, formerly known as Aulona. Vlora has an astonishing view of the Ionian and Adriatic seas, with palm trees, sandy and rocky beaches. Overnight by the sea side in Vlora.

Day 5 : Our tour of the Albanian Riviera continues to Orikumi, founded in III century B.C. We travel to Llogara Pass (a National Park) and stop in Dhermiu, a large village with about 30 old picturesque churches settled on a rough mountainous terrain. While traveling along the Albanian Riviera we stop at the bay of Porto Palermo, with its beautiful castle of Ali Pasha. In the evening we take a city tour of Saranda, including the synagogue and Lekursi castle. On the ruins of the old castle there is a bar with a breathtaking view of Saranda and Corfu Island. Overnight in Saranda.

Day 6: We start our tour to Butrint an ancient city, part of the UNESCO world heritage. Butrinti is the most important archaeological site in Albania. On the tour to Gjirokastra we will visit the natural wonder of Blue Eye. Gjirokastra, is part of the UNESCO world heritage, with its great castle of Argjiroja and the weaponry Museum within the castle. We drive back to port of Saranda, where you can get on the ferry to Corfu, Greece.
